The Gershwin Awards will accept 50 participants into its 2013 program. Most schools will identify one Best Actor nominee and one Best Actress nominee. However, if you represent an all-girls or all-boys school, accommodations can be made. Please identify your school as such on your application and contact Camp Broadway with any questions at (212) 575-2929.
Gershwin Event: May 31, 2014
The Gershwin Awards will be held at Davenport Studios on May 31, 2014. The program is a day long and culminates in a final competition showcase. The space permits two audience members to every participant.
NHSMTA Program: June 25 – July 1, 2014
Two finalists (one actor, one actress) will be selected to advance as representatives of The Gershwin Awards at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (affectionately, the Jimmy Awards). The program is a week long and takes place in New York City. For more information visit nhsmta.com.
NHSMTA Performance: June 30, 2014
The final performance of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards is held at the Minskoff Theatre in New York City.
